Questions people ask before booking
- Can you inspect a car that's on a dealer lot?
- Yes. We come to wherever the car is — a dealer lot, a private seller's driveway, a parking lot. You don't have to get the car anywhere.
- I'm buying from out of state. Can you be my eyes?
- Yes, and it's one of the best reasons to book one. We meet the car here in St. Louis, inspect it exactly as we would for a local buyer, and send you the written report with photos wherever you are. If you want to talk it through before you send money, add a Consultant Advisor session from $35 and we'll walk you through what we found.
- What if the seller won't allow an inspection?
- A seller with nothing to hide has no reason to refuse — you're paying for it, and it takes under an hour. If they still say no, they've told you something useful about the car.
- Do I still get the report if I decide not to buy?
- Yes. The report is yours either way. Walking away from the wrong car is a good outcome, and plenty of our reports are used to negotiate the price down instead.
- Do you inspect private-party and Marketplace cars?
- Yes. Private-party sales come with no dealer warranty and no comeback once money changes hands, which is exactly when an independent inspection earns its money.
- How soon can you get out there?
- Appointments run Monday through Friday, plus inspection-only mornings on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month, and we take a limited number each day — so book as soon as you have the address. Arrival falls within a 3-hour window because we travel between jobs. Call (314) 683-8576 if the timing is tight.
